Celebrity makeup artist Carola Gonzalez gives underrepresented skin tones a one-step product for all complexion needs

In an era where women run it all, it is essential to have a skincare routine that gives you an instant glow and gives you time to drink your latte too. Iris&Romeo new Best Skin Days formula, $64 is giving women effortless makeup routines while simplifying their skincare routine. This one-in-five formula is one of Carola Gonzalez’s favorite products to work with because it provides dewy coverage, collagen-boosting serum, moisturizer, SPF 25, and blue light/pollution protection. Now that is a game-changer!

The celebrity makeup artist worked alongside Iris&Romeo to create 12 shades that would provide the right undertone to melanin-rich skin. As someone who has worked with high-profile personalities including Kerry Washington, Adria Arjona, Lana Condor, Mindy Kaling, and Udo Azuba, Gonzalez understands the challenges of finding the right foundation for unique skin tones. Especially for her Latinx clientele. “I find myself always mixing the products. We are underrepresented and there is a gap in Latin American women,” shared Gonzalez.

This new one-step morning routine minimizes the amount of time it requires to find the right shade while providing the skin a glowy finish. “When I do makeup I don’t want the skin to look flat. When you warm up the skin it uplifts you and adds a little bit of color,” added the professional artist who is passionate about skincare. One of the reasons this product has become her power tool is because it is rich in oleic fatty acids, antioxidants, Vitamin C, moisture-retaining sodium hyaluronate, and a concentration of collagen-boosting Oligosaccharides.

This skincare product has helped Gonzalez achieve a minimalist look on her clients while still offering enough amount of coverage. However, she suggests using a concealer to cover any unwanted blemishes. “The skin is more important and where I spend more time on my client. My focus is to create a skin that looks healthy and radiant. When I am working on a client’s skin I aim for freshness and rejuvenation. For me skin is everything.”

Best Skin Days offers the flexibility of a makeup routine with its pigment-infused formula while promoting skin wellness. Gonzalez and Iris&Romeo team used adaptive pigment technology to create 12 shades that suit 36 skin tones. Now that is a powerful product embracing skinimalism and filling a gap in the beauty market.
