Becky G Tresluce Beauty

What Becky G’s makeup line Treslúce Beauty is doing for Latinx creatives

As far as glam is concerned, Becky G is no rookie. At 16-years old, she landed a CoverGirl deal, she’s worked with ColourPop on a makeup collection, and now she has her own company, Treslúce Beauty. It’s not your everyday celebrity makeup brand. The artwork, packaging, and vibrant brand colors show the Sin Pijama singer’s clear vision for Treslúce. “Treslúce Beauty is a love letter to my Mexican heritage and to those who came before me and for the generations to come,” says Becky G.

To debut her makeup line, the Power Rangers actress launched with a variety of beauty items. The 15-piece cruelty-free and vegan collection include an eyeshadow palette, colorful liners, brushes, false lashes, and lash accessories, all under $35.

The creation of the brand’s name brings together two Spanish words. The word “Tres” means three in Spanish and also happens to be Becky’s favorite number. Second, “luce,” a particular third-person version of “lucir,” is often used when admiring someone’s light. Additionally, the Mexican-American star explains that the number three represents light and generational growth within herself, her mother, and grandmother. “I remember being my mother, allowing me to play with makeup at an early age and encouraging me to use it as a form of expression,” says Becky G.

Adding more personal elements to Treslúce Beauty, the I Am Palette pays homage to her roots by combining agave-infused formulation from her grandparents’ hometown in Jalisco, Mexico. Each shade in the palette can transform and uplift anyone’s mood with its affirmations names. Unstoppable is perfect for a shimmery sunset orange eye look, and Diosa is excellent for adding a bit of pink to your lids. “The practice of saying affirmations are part of my daily routine, especially just before a performance or a set. I wanted to create a product that reflected this to share with you, reminding you to feel empowered, which inspired me to make the I Am palette. Use it to create your unique looks and say an affirmation each time,” says the Mexican star.

Giving back to the Latinx community, the 24-year-old star partnered with Mexican independent artist Monica Loya on the I Am Palette. “Collaborating with Monica has been an incredible experience, and she will not be the last. I’ve made an oath to myself that I may be the first to do many things, but I don’t want to be the last,” Becky G tells LatinaWatch. She continues, “It’s about creating spaces in the beauty industry that celebrate our diverse and vibrant Latinx culture by elevating our voices and stories.”

Tresluce Beauty also released gel color pencils for eyes and lips in 15 different shades, three different lashes, a brush set, and lash accessories as part of this launch. The design of these transfer-proof gel color liners is creamy and smudge-proof, delivering intense color that lasts for 13 hours. The Intenso Liners, $12, are multi-functional and can be applied to lips and eyebrows. Plus, they are ophthalmologist-tested and waterline-safe. With the Like, An Artista brush set, $35, you can create a Becky G-inspired makeup look with the eight high-performing, vegan mix texture fiber brushes.

Adding luxury lashes to Tresluce Beauty, Becky G added three alluring styles and lash accessories. If you want natural-looking lashes, try 3D Sueño, $14. If you’d like to look glamorous at the same time, try 5D Fantasy, $14, or 6D Deseo, $14. The singer released two products to protect our lashes and make application easy, Mi Tesoro Lash Case, $12, and Super Fácil 2-in-1 Lash Applicator, $8.
