The coconut-based household cleaner that will make your home smell like paradise
What if you can smell coconut flavor every time you scrub the dirty dishes? Or imagine enjoying washing your third load of clothes while smelling a field of lavenders. Cleancult is a new way to enjoy household chores while keeping sustainability and cleanliness in mind. CEO and Co-Founder of Cleancult, Ryan Lupberger is convinced that traditional cleaning is not the best way to clean. “Most ingredients in conventional cleaner products aren’t listed on their ingredients lists,” mentions Ryan. According to the CEO, there is not much regulation of what ingredients go into our cleaning products.
Instead of continuing usage of the products of these behemoth corporations, Ryan decided to come up with a formula that was threefold – powerful, sustainable and eliminates odor. Cleancult uses CocoClean technology which is powered with antifungal and antibacterial properties to create a powerful cleaning product. “Coconut oil is established as a powerful antifungal and we discovered that through a saponification process, it could be a powerful cleaning agent, as well,” adds Ryan.
Aside from their coconut-infused formula, Cleancult’s packaging is also sustainable and is a major component to their anti-waste efforts. The company encourages customers to reuse the bottles and recycle paper-based containers. Lupberger has also implemented a recycling back mail program where customers can, “toss in our recyclable milk cartons, affix the label to the same box your cleaners came in or any eco-friendly mailing container, then drop off at any FedEx Drop-off location”.
How much detergent you need to do your laundry
Cleancult’s mission is to make cleaning fun and enjoyable, therefore they have shared with LatinaWatch some tips to properly do laundry. Many people have a misconception that the more detergent you add to a large load, the cleaner your clothes will be. “Typically it’s one ounce per average size load, but feel free to pour in an extra half ounce for those slightly smellier, dirtier loads. However, if you’re using a high-efficiency washer, you can use even less than an ounce,” recommends Ryan. Celeancult’s refillable glass bottle includes a measuring cup style cup to measure the detergent. We promise you will be smelling coconuts.
Tips to eliminate odor on your food containers with coconut
Even if we use a huge amount of dish soap, nasty odors can linger in many food containers. Ryan suggests washing the dishes immediately after use. “Letting things soak often allows food to just sit in the container longer and makes getting rid of smells and odors that much difficult,” advises Ryan. If you can’t wash your dishes immediately, it is recommended to add water, some lemon wedges and blend. This will help in eliminating strong odors, “Lemons are known to help neutralize and remove strong odors plus the citric acid in lemons actually helps to get rid of stains and leftover gunk!”
Recently, Cleancult launched new scents in all cleaning categories – Blue Sage, Juniper & Sandalwood, Bamboo Lily, Sweet Honeysuckle, Grapefruit Basil and Sea Spray, and Aloe. From all-purpose cleaner to foaming hand sanitizer, Cleancult’s mission is to make a more sustainable cleaning system. While house chores might sound like a tedious activity, Cleancult’s coconut-powered formula will whisk you away to the tropics and re-imagine your cleaning tasks. Because smelling a piece of paradise is always a treat.
