In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and the release of the 2022 limited-edition PATRON Mexican Heritage Tin, PATRON Tequila has teamed together with the renowned Mexico City-based artist, Sebastian. Each year a different artist is responsible for bringing the limited-edition PATRON Mexican Heritage Tin to life, and in doing so they illustrate the history, customs, and culture of Mexico in a way that is both visually appealing and informative.

Sebastian recounts the age-old Mexican tradition of cutting agave piñas for this year’s limited-edition PATRN Mexican Heritage Tin. The agave heart, one of the three ingredients that are perfectly mixed to make PATRON Tequila, is featured prominently in the design of the tin, which is both striking and colorful. The design is inspired by the intricate cutting technique of the agave piña.

Sebastian’s abstract geometric forms and strong colors are inspired by the Mexican landscape and natural shapes present in the regions of Mexico in where Sebastian resides, and his colossal works in steel and concrete are shown throughout Mexico and around the world.
