COME ON WORLD is the new gender-inclusive brand reviving the punk era
For many, punk carries a nostalgic meaning of anti-conformity, rebellion, and anarchy. But for the new pret-a-couture label, COME ON WORLD, punk has a more complex meaning. The micro-atelier based in Miami, FL is inspired by punk culture and surrealism with a free mindset. “Punk is a cultural movement and it can be interpreted in different ways. Is a movement of liberty, a bit reactive where we take it from an unapologetic point of view,” mentions Florencia Macri, Come On’s Founder.

The brand’s first collection, Glam Punk 2021 is a timeless capsule with unisex pieces and defiant designs incorporating traditional techniques with modern silhouettes. If Salvador Dali was alive he would definitely be rocking one of COME ON’s elegant pieces. Punk is about pushing boundaries and that’s exactly what the Argentine founder is doing. “You can wear whatever you want, whenever you want, at any age you want. Punk has basically no boundaries,” claims the creative director Macri.
COME ON also focuses on sustainability, collecting dead-stock fabrics from London, Paris, and New York that otherwise would have ended up in a landfill. Premium fabrics are one of the main elements of the brand, constructing their pieces with 100% silk and hard-to-find fabrics from around the world.

While punk might be associated with social and political change, COME ON has a more contemporary view in a zeitgeist where people are adopting ‘joy dressing’ (a fashion trend where people dress for joy after the global pandemic). The vision of Macri is to welcome any gender to wear the brand and for every woman to own their femininity. That’s why the new collection “Non c’e rosa senza spina” invites customers to celebrate life with every emotion: happiness, pain, melancholy, sadness, and joy. The new collection features 100% silk Muscalese Dress, silk chiffon Trebbiano shirt, and other vintage fabrics. The pieces from the new colletion range from $65 to $1500.
The collection’s name translates to “There is no rose without thorns” and features romantic vibes reminiscent of the Mediterranean lifestyle. The elegant pieces are for the woman who owns her femininity with power while not caring about society’s rules.
From a historic point of view, punk fashion was categorized usually by wearing tartan and plaid. But its revolutionary impact has given a new meaning in today’s era. In 2021, where we are leaving behind archaic political views and adopting a more multicultural philosophy, punk comes to revive our dress codes and embrace our personalities. COME ON’s mission is to leverage your already artistic wardrobe and be unapologetic.
