‘Glee’ star Naya Rivera’s body is found and confirmed dead in Lake Piru California
Naya Rivera‘s body was found five days after she went missing in Lake Piru, California.
A body discovered Monday morning at the lake around 56 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, was confirmed to be that of the Glee star, law authorization sources told TMZ.
Authorities have been searching the small lake in Ventura County, Southern California since last Wednesday for actress-singer who went missing while on a boat trip with her young son, Josey Hollis Dorsey. According to reports, the 4-year-old told search parties that his mother never got back on the boat after the pair went swimming. And while Josey was wearing a life vest, the 33-year-old star is believed not to have been wearing one, according to NBC Los Angeles. Josey, whose father is Naya’s ex-beau Ryan Dorsey, is reported to be unharmed and found wearing a lifevest.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deployed air and dive teams to “search for a possible drowning victim”, which they later said was the 33-year-old actress. Authorities took to Twitter stating, “The missing person at Lake Piru has been identified as Naya Rivera, 33, of Los Angeles. SAR operation will continue at first light.” Search parties have closed the lake to the public while search operations continue. Dive teams from throughout the region will be assisting us through mutual aid.

On Tuesday evening, the actress-singer posted a photo with her with son laying on the boat with the caption,” just the two of us.” In the image, Naya and Josey are seen sharing a sweet mother-son cuddle moment.
One of the Afro-Latina star’s most recent posts on Instagram saw her remember that life is precious with a thoughtful caption: “No matter the year, circumstance, or strifes every day you’re alive is a blessing. make the most of today and every day you are given. tomorrow is not promised.”
Naya is most famous for playing Santana Lopez on U.S. TV show Glee from 2009 to 2015.
