Margaritas have a special place in cocktail history. From bachelorette parties to divorce parties, this simple and classic cocktail has made its rounds throughout the years. According to the Smithsonian Museum, the margarita has many people claiming they invented it. One popular story is that it was named after a woman named Margarita, a socialite from Dallas in 1948, after she asked for it while on vacation in Acapulco. Azalea Margarita

Patrón

Ingredients:

1.5 oz    Patrón Silver
.5 oz      Patrón Citrónge Orange
1 oz       Pineapple juice
.5 oz      Lime juice
.5 oz      Grenadine

Method:

  1. Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass.

Margarita Caliente

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Patrón Silver
1 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
1 oz Fresh lime juice
.5 oz Passion fruit syrup
4 Dashes Chipotle Tabasco
2 Bar spoons orange marmalade
Orange twist for garnish

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake to chill and texturize.
  2. Strain into a double old fashioned glass with a large ice cube.
  3. Garnish with an orange twist.

Margarita Amore

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Patrón Reposado
.5 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
1 oz Apple juice
.5 oz Fresh lime juice
.5 oz Valentina-passion fruit syrup*
Fresh chili pepper for garnish

Method:

  1. Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake to chill.
  2. Strain into a chilled margarita glass.
  3. Garnish with a small chili pepper.

Valentina-passion fruit syrup

  1. Combine two parts passion fruit syrup to one part Valentina hot sauce and stir to combine.
  2. Store refrigerated.

Patrón Classic Margarita

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Patrón Silver
1 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
.75 oz Fresh lime juice
.25 oz Simple syrup
Lime wedge for garnish
Kosher salt (optional)

Method:

  1. Combine liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously with ice to chill.
  2. Strain onto fresh ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
  3. Optionally, salt half the rim of the glass with kosher salt.

Smokin’ Hot Pineapple

Hornitos®

Ingredients:

2 parts Hornitos® Plata Tequila
¾ part jalapeño rosemary syrup
½ part fresh pineapple juice
½ part fresh lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura® bitters
Rosemary sprigs
Pineapple chunk

Method:

  1. Combine equal parts sugar and water with 1 jalapeño slice and 4 rosemary sprigs and bring to a boil to create jalapeño rosemary simple syrup.
  2. Add all ingredients together in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
  3. Pour ingredients from shaker to a highball glass with ice.
  4. Garnish with a pineapple chunk and rosemary sprigs.

Basil Paloma

Hornitos®

Ingredients:

2 parts Hornitos® Black Barrel® Tequila
1 ¼ parts fresh ruby red grapefruit juice
1 part fresh lime juice
½ part simple syrup
1 dash Angostura® bitters
Basil sprigs
Grapefruit slice

Method:

  1. Lightly muddle 2-3 basil sprigs in a shaker.
  2. Add remainder of ingredients into the shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.
  3. Garnish with a basil sprig and grapefruit slice.

Frozen Melon Margarita

Gran Centenario

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Gran Centenario Añejo
3/4 oz Orange Liqueur
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 cup Cantaloupe (diced)
1 cup Ice
Garnish: Cantaloupe Cube and Mint Sprig

Method: 

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Pulse blend 3-5 times in 3 second intervals, while checking for consistency.
  3. Pour into a rocks glass and add garnish.

Mango Margarita

Gran Centenario

Ingredients:

8 oz Gran Centenario Plata
2.5 oz Orange Liqueur
2 Mangos (peeled, diced, & blended)
2 Oranges (juiced)
2 Limes (juiced)
Garnish: Lime Wedge

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake and strain over fresh ice into a salt-rimmed rocks glass. Garnish with lime wedge.

Black Diamond Margarita

Ingredients:

2 oz Maestro Dobel Diamante 
1/2 oz Agave Syrup 
1/2 oz Lime Juice

Method:

  1. Shake & stir ingredients over cubed ice into glass with a black or white salt rim.
  2. Garnish with lime wedge. 

Blood Orange Margarita

Sparkling Ice

Ingredients:

8oz Sparkling Ice Spiked Strawberry Citrus Smash
1oz Blood Orange Juice
1oz Sour Mix
1oz Tequila
Garnish – Strawberry & Blood Orange

Method:

  1. Rim glass with lime wedge and dip into salt.
  2. Fill glass with ice and add tequila, blood orange juice and sour mix.
  3. Fill with Sparkling Ice Spiked Strawberry Citrus Smash and garnish with strawberries.
