Sources also mentioned that “Karol G has no idea how she got sick, because she has been very careful, initially respecting the quarantine and later the rules of social distancing and wearing masks.” Local American outlets have reported that Karol has left her home, which she shares with Anuel, to quarantine separately and avoid exposing him to COVID. The singer is reportedly living in a nearby apartment in Miami.
Since coronavirus lockdown began back in March, the couple have been staying in their Miami home along with their pup Goku, named after the Dragon Ball Z character. The singers, who had planned on getting married this year, have made the best of their time at home, creating new music like the song Follow.
Karol isn’t the only Latinx star who has recently tested positive for COVID-19. Last week, Prince Royce took to Instagram to let fans know he was diagnosed with the respiratory disease.
“I thought that taking precaution by washing my hands and wearing a mask was going to be enough, and it was not,” the singer told his millions of followers. The 31-year-old also revealed he only experienced mild symptoms but it concerned for those with underlying health conditions. “It didn’t hit me as hard,” he said, adding, “I’m feeling better now. I’m hoping to come out negative in the next week or so.”

He added, “I’m concerned for people that do have pre-existing conditions and low immune systems. We just don’t know what’s going on.”
