Artist Creates Portraits of Famous Latin Stars Using Rubik’s Cubes and They’re Totally Out of this World
If you thought solving a Rubik’s cube was difficult, imagine creating a portrait using the colorful puzzle. Well, Christian Goñi, a Uruguayan speedcuber, is using his puzzle-solving skills to assemble murals of famous Latin artists, such as J Balvin and Daddy Yankee.

One scroll through the Goñi Instagram page will leave you amazed – and in awe of the striking detail. The Uruguayan artist uses different combination of the six-color 3-D puzzle (blue, red, green, orange, yellow, and white) and strategically place each individual cube in a designated spot to create a pixelated image of the artists. According to Goñi, he took nearly six hours and 996 cubes to assemble the portrait of the Colombian superstar– which to most people who can’t even solve a single cube seems nearly impossible.
